‘Kenny Loggins & Friends: Live on Soundstage’ Special Deluxe Edition out now via BMG
Loggins Headlines A Three-Night Engagement at Wynn Las Vegas Sept 5, 7, & 8
From the GRAMMYs to the silver screen, celebrated singer-songwriter Kenny Loggins’ gift for crafting deeply emotional music is unparalleled, and it’s been a part of his life as long as he can remember. Many of his hits are now featured on Kenny Loggins & Friends: Live on Soundstage Deluxe, released on August 24, 2018 via BMG. On it, Loggins is joined by Jim Messina, Michael McDonald, David Foster, Thundercat, and Blue Sky Riders who recorded the performance at Grainger Studio in Chicago for PBS station WTTW’s innovative music program Soundstage. The 2CD/1DVD deluxe combo package was recorded in high definition video and Dolby 5.1 audio and features previously unreleased tracks. The performance will air on Soundstage in 2019.
Among Loggins’ hits included in the package are “Heart to Heart,” “I’m Alright,” “Danger Zone,” “This is It,” “What a Fool Believes” (with McDonald), and “Forever” (with Foster). Loggins reunites with old pal and former duet partner Messina for “Return To Pooh Corner,” “Thinking of You,” “Danny’s Song,” “Angry Eyes,” and “Vahevala.”
This week, Loggins will bring his impressive musical range and ambitious performance style to the Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas for three nights of his chart-topping hits, Sept. 5, 7 and 8. Backed by his band, Loggins will perform his most acclaimed songs from some of Hollywood’s favorite soundtracks, as well as new original music.
