Reba McEntire continues career-spanning series with new ‘Ain’t Gonna Keep It Waitin’ EP

McEntire’s ongoing monthly music capsule series has grown with a new release. The EP Ain’t Gonna Keep It Waitin’ combines a fresh track with classic fan favorites from across her five-decade career. Released through MCA, it centers on the new title track, “Ain’t Gonna Keep It Waitin’.” MCA released the project, centering on the new title track, Ain’t Gonna Keep It Waitin’. The track was written by Brett Beavers, Connie Harrington and Kelley Lovelace, with Dave Cobb producing. An energetic track introduces the EP’s themes. It centers on open-road adventure and romance while revisiting classics from McEntire’s catalog.

The six-track release combines the new single with “I’d Rather Ride Around With You,” “Love Will Find Its Way To You,” “We’re So Good Together” and “Wrong Night,” highlighting different eras of McEntire’s career. Moreover, this release marks the third installment of her 2026 music capsule series. It comes after One Night In Tulsa EP and Hurt Like That EP. Each installment centers on a distinct theme and pairs a new song with classics.

The new EP follows another milestone for McEntire after she recently released two previously unheard recordings from her acclaimed Broadway run in Annie Get Your Gun, commemorating the 25th anniversary of her final performance in the production.
