Your first step is to submit your music to us for review. We need to listen to your release so we may determine if it’s something we can work. You are welcome to submit one MP3 via our submission for on our website here. Otherwise, if you would like to submit your full CD contact us here to receive “permission to submit”. Once your music is receive for review, we will conduct preliminary radio tests. Loggins Promotion conducts these complimentary commercial radio tests on all submissions. These tests give an artist/band direction with their careers in the music industry. Because of the demand of this complementary service we require 3 to 10 days to complete the commercial radio tests. After reviewing your music, we will contact you regarding our recommendations for promotion.
How much does it cost?
As standard within the radio industry, pricing is based on format of music. Certain formats of radio such as Top40, Adult Contemporary and Country have an extensive panel of radio stations as well as a much larger base of listeners. Why do I need radio promotion?
As you may already know, in order to attract a major/indie label publishing deals, distribution or recording contracts, it requires you have already sold a substantial amount of units which typically range upwards of 30,000 units, have a substantial amount of social media followers which usually is upwards of hundreds of thousands, or have a substantial amount of commercial radio airplay supporting your current single. You are your own business and like in any business you need to establish yourself, your product, your brand.
What will I need to start?
We supply you with a short checklist of things you’ll need to provide us. Most of this is information (i.e. publishing info, etc). However, a few things you’ll need to kick off your campaign will also include 350 units of your product for the initial “blanket” mailing to radio programmers. You should also have professional pictures and artist bio available to you.
Who do you promote my music to?
Loggins Promotion campaigns include commercially reporting radio stations to New Music Weekly (STS), FMQB (FM Quarterback), Billboard(BDS), Music Row and Mediabase. Commercially reporting stations are required to report a playlist each week. A playlist represents artists, their singles and spins (rotations) each week.
